Andile Nkwanyana is a Master of Town and Regional Planning candidate. Her research focuses on evaluating the spatial accessibility of healthcare facilities for women in Umlazi Township, one of the largest townships in South Africa. This study explores how the distribution of healthcare services affects access for women in the area, considering urban form, socio-economic dynamics, and planning frameworks. Nkwanyana aims to highlight planning gaps and recommend strategies to promote equitable access to healthcare in township environments.
