Project overview
This project develops and applies a structured set of indicators to assess how ready a municipality is to anticipate, withstand, respond to and recover from flooding. It translates the broad concept of flood readiness into measurable domains covering governance and planning, early warning and communication, critical infrastructure and maintenance, community preparedness, emergency response and recovery.
The indicators will be brought together in an accessible decision dashboard. The dashboard will enable municipal users to view overall readiness, explore performance by domain and identify priority gaps that require attention. The framework will be piloted through iterative engagement with a municipality so that the indicators reflect available data, institutional responsibilities and operational realities.
