 Mr Tobela Michael Zenzele Twala is currently a PhD student in Town and Regional Planning at the University of KwaZulu Natal. Moreover, Mr Twala has obtained an MBA degree from South China University of Technology at Guangzhou China, through DHET Scholarship Award. Also he has a Bachelor’s Degree in Town and Regional Planning from the University of Pretoria. With a decade career trajectory both in private and public sectors. Mostly he worked at National Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure where he took-on various key National Strategic Programmes including Ingonyama Trust Board and a number of Presidential Projects. Mr Twala’s last appointment at NDPWI was Chief Town Planner at Pretoria Head Office where he was also appointed by Deputy Director-General to initiate and manage the entire Department’s GIS project. He is a registered Professional Planner with SACPLAN council and also a corporate member of SAPI institute. He is also serving in the National SAPI Board (by virtue of being SAPI Gauteng Region Chair), then he serves in the SAPI EXCO and also Planning Africa Conference 2024 LOC. Mr Twala is also a member of the BMF’s Policy and Research Committee (PRC) where key policies like B-BBEE and EE are reviewed. He is also a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society.
